3. BROKEN DISHES:
Wearing a mauve dress, the girl sits in a chair facing left on a rocky beach near the sea. Her hair is in several braids, which become chains and extend down into the ground, pinning her there. She sits fairly comfortably, with her hands in her lap, one leg crossed over the other. At her feet on the ground among the rocks are the scattered shards of broken dishes. On the left, descending towards her, is a bird of prey.
She is still trapped, but the prison is now a more spacious one. She has managed to break out of some of her rigid patterns and their remains lie at her feet. She has found a measure of peace; and hope of freedom seems to come in the form of the bird and the open sea--so close but as yet so unattainable.
She has reached a plateau, which quite often occurs after a major breakthrough. One needs time to get accustomed to the new level or state before moving on. But a plateau feels like forever. [SOLD]
