8.   GIRL IN THE ARCH: “LA BELLE DAME SANS MERCI.” DESTRUCTION.

The girl, wearing an “electric blue” dress, stands in a stone archway, her arms raised and her hands resting on the masonry of the arch. She has one blue eye and one green eye. Her golden hair rises like a corona around her head and each strand ends in an electrical plug. There is a ring of sockets around the outside of the arch, near the edge, and all but one of the strands of hair are plugged into these sockets. Small cracks are forming around the sockets and wherever her hands are touching; and chunks of masonry are starting to fall. Some chunks lie on the floor around her feet.

Being “connected” can be a hair-raising experience at first. As old habit patterns dissolve and old beliefs fall away, one can find oneself in the midst of chaos, not knowing what will disappear or be destroyed next. But it is a temporary state of affairs--sooner or later the dust settles. So one must not falter at this stage. [SOLD]
